Welcome! We recently created the Vaccine Failure Wall as a way for the community to share their experiences with vaccine failure. Vaccines can sometimes fail to provide protection against the infectious disease they were designed to prevent. Do you have a vaccine failure story to share? Click here to complete our Vaccine Failure Reporting Form.  Your personal identity will be kept confidential.

Below you will also find stories shared by others that are listed in chronological order, with the most recent at the top. You're among the first to visit our Vaccine Failure Wall, so it may take a couple weeks for the initial stories to post. We appreciate your patience as this new feature of our website begins to  document the public's stories!

If you had a reaction to a vaccine or have been the subject of vaccine harassment, please click here to access those reporting options.

Failure
The vaccine failure that I am describing did not occur in me or my children, but in my son's best friend. Despite being fully vaccinated according to CDC schedule, my son's friend (8 yrs old) was diagnosed with pertussis. The diagnosis came after two weeks of persistent coughing. My children are completely unvaccinated and despite the fact that they were in daily contact (in car) with this boy, my children, 8 and 3 years old, did not come down with the illness.

Failure
When me and my kids were exposed to a recently vaccinated nurse and school kids, we all came down with rubella. The only member of our family that didn't get it was my husband, who had rubella as a child. I got the vaccine as a child and my kids are not vaccinated. Luckily I was not pregnant at the time. My kids got it and it was no big deal for them, they were over it in 4 days. It took me 3 weeks to get over the rubella but I eat via the Weston A. Price dietary guidance and it wasn't so bad. Mostly itching from the rash on the bottoms of my feet. So, the vaccinated are the ones spreading the disease and those who get it naturally get life long immunity. I was vaccinated for MMR about 35 years ago and it did nothing. Hopefully my kids now have life long immunity by catching the virus from the vaccinated.

Failure
It was mandatory for health workers to get the hepatitis B shot back in the 80’s when I worked as a Medical Technologist at a university hospital. I had a positive Hepatitis B Ag titer in 1987 but I had a liver panel run in June 2018 and my Hepatitis B Ag titer was negative. So somewhere between 1987 and 2018 the Hepatitis Ag disappeared. The liver specialist offered me another vaccine but said it is now a combined vaccine with both Hepatitis A & B. I said, ‘No thank you, the first one didn’t work’.

Failure
I was given the MMR vaccines as a child, then again at age 31 as I was trying to get pregnant and did not show having rubella antibodies. I got rubella within 2 weeks of being vaccinated and had to be quarantined for 2 weeks. I was extremely ill for 1 month. In January 2016 I got measles.
