Remove Vaccine Safety Oversight From DHHS

 On Aug. 27, 2014 a senior scientist at the Centers for Disease Control 1 publicly admitted 2 that he and other CDC officials, including the current CDC’s Director of Immunization Safety, 3 4 published a study about MMR vaccine safety in 2004 5 that “omitted statistically significant information” and “did not follow the final study protocol. “ He said the study “omitted relevant findings in a particular study for a particular sub group for a particular vaccine” and added that “there have always been recognized risks for vaccination” and “it is the responsibility for the CDC to properly convey [vaccine] risks.”
CDC: A History of Limiting Transparency
We couldn’t agree more. CDC officials should not be in the business of deliberately withholding information from the public about vaccine risks that may be greater for some children than other children. 6 Unfortunately, CDC officials have a long history of limiting transparency 7 8 and being less than honest with the American people about what it does and does not know about vaccine risks. 9 10
Last July, a RAND Corporation study commissioned and funded by DHHS was published proclaiming that vaccines “are very safe.” 11 What was not made clear to the public was that the study was designed and peer reviewed by high-level CDC officials, including the CDC’s Director of Immunization Safety. 12
This is a big problem for parents being ordered to give their children every government recommended vaccine – no exceptions and no questions asked. 13 14
NVIC Calls on Congress to Take Action on DHHS Conflicts of Interest
Today, the National Vaccine Information Center is renewing our call for oversight of vaccine safety to be removed from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). 15
It is a conflict of interest for DHHS to be in charge of vaccine safety and also license vaccines, 16 and take money from drug companies to fast track vaccines, 17 and partner with drug companies to develop and share profits from vaccine sales, 18 and make national vaccine policies 19 that get turned into state vaccine laws 20 while also deciding which children will and will not get a vaccine injury compensation award. 21 22
That is too much power for one federal agency. That is putting the fox in charge of guarding the chicken coop.
Vaccination Can Cause Brain Inflammation and Injury
Especially when it has been known since the first vaccine for smallpox that vaccination can cause brain inflammation 23 24 25 26 27 and a wide spectrum of brain injury symptoms, like developmental delays and disabilities. 28  29 30
It is very telling that Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court have declared that vaccines are “unavoidably unsafe” and completely shielded drug companies from vaccine injury lawsuits. 31 32 In America, if you or your child gets hurt by a vaccine, you can’t hold anyone who developed, regulated, recommended, marketed, mandated, administered or profits from the vaccine accountable in a civil court of law in front of a jury of your peers.
Parents Concerns About Vaccine Safety Legitimate
The recent statement by a CDC senior scientist admitting that vaccine risk data is being withheld from the public is just one more piece of evidence that parents’ questions and concerns about vaccine safety are legitimate.
Congress should act now and take vaccine safety monitoring away from DHHS.

Contact your U.S. Senator and Representative today and tell them you want something done about conflicts of interest in the nation’s vaccination system. 33 34 If your child’s health has been harmed by vaccination, tell them about that too.

Moving oversight for vaccine safety from one organization to another will not solve the immense problem at hand. The first step that needs to be taken is to ban vaccine mandates in each of the 50 states. The ban needs to apply to every person (with parents making any and all vaccine and medical decisions for their children under age 18), every daycare and school, every elder care entity, and every industry, military included. The second step is to repeal the 1986 Act and reinstate liability for both vaccine manufacturers and for those who administer vaccines. The third step is to prosecute and bring to justice each and every person who has participated in any fraudulent study, any aspect of the massive cover-up of the harm caused by vaccines, any part of our nation's fraudulent vaccine recommendations, and/or who have lied about vaccine efficacy. Lastly, beginning immediately, help must be offered to the hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of vaccine-injured Americans. This must be funded by vaccine-making pharmaceutical companies, those charged with any vaccine-related fraud and crimes, by insurance companies, and by our government. The carnage is catastrophic. Not another day should pass with vaccine mandates still in place. That is step 1, ban vaccine mandates, forever.

This is a very strong, clear and powerful commentary by Ms. Fisher. I deeply respect the consistent level headed, evidenced based work of NVIC. The gravity of this cover-up is undoubtedly more than one incident. Andrew Wakefield is a living example of the extent to which those drunk on power and control will go to protect their own wealth and reputation. It appears to be ok that children are severely damaged and even killed to afford them this lifestyle. It is more than fine, perhaps even fun, to take down the career of a potential threat like Wakefield. I am outraged. I am writing my representatives. Give me more to do. I will not just stand by disgusted. I will act! Thanks to NVIC and other aware people, my voice is not alone.

My 96 year-old neighbor had a bright, healthy active son, until right after he received his vaccination. He stopped running and walking, and was unable to be diagnosed for the muscular deterioration that put him in a wheel chair and snuffed out his life, shortly after high school graduation. The withholding of statistical information information is deceitful and criminal. The adjuvants are unnecessary and deliberate and appear to be causing auto immunity diseases on purpose.

I have proceeded to this site against the "Advice" of web-of-trust and its multitude of reviewers. I do not trust such a "mainstream" source for advice about anything as controversial as vaccines. In this matter it has long seemed to me that the epidemiological evidence alone is enough to raise a warning flag against the presumed "safety" of vaccines, which the powers that be have been moved to accept without further testing whenever a vaccine is manufactured by a "reputable" company and by processes that appear sufficiently similar to processes previously used "successfully." Indeed, the vaccines are uninsurable by the insurance industry (which I believe would be falling all over itself to get the business if they were indeed as safe as advertised by the corporate media, the politicians, and the vaccine manufacturers as well as their lackeys in federal agencies). The recent whistleblower (Dr, Thompson) and Dr. Wakefield are much more credible sources than these "mainstream" sources and their brainwashed, bought-out, and intimidated followers. So are the many parents who have reported adverse reactions closely following vaccine administration. Interestingly, I recently read a report that the CDC claims the 1-in-68 rate of autism in the current childhood population results not from an epidemic but from under-diagnosis in earlier decades (when the rate I'm told was 1-in-10,000). If there were actually 1-in-68 many years ago (which is 147-in-10,000), what actually was the diagnosis of the additional 146 per 10,000 in those years, autism being difficult to confuse with complete wellness? And, as chiropractor Bruce West has put it, "where are they now?" or what has happened to them? The implication that public health officials are LYING seems to demand a more detailed and credible response than i am as yet aware of.

The DHHS has too many conflicts of interest & obviously, lack of truthfulness to We The People to continue providing accurate information. The government has allowed the "swinging door" policy of allowing person/s from many different corporate stakeholders to participate in federal government decisions about vaccinations/drugs for your children. Is money really more important that human life? Have you ever had to deal with or raise an autistic child or do you just lock them away where they are not seen?

I started searching this site because I was having a heated discussion with someone about vaccines. It AMAZES me how so many people believe there is low level to no level of risk in those shots. It bothers me that this effort to have DHHS removed may be "hindered" by the push that will seemingly come to have EVERYONE vaccinated against Ebola. I am always leery when the news changes up and you start seeing these parents push for shots. No one seems to question the timing. Thanks so much for this website.

The problems with DHHS oversight of vaccines safety (indeed, all drug safety) are well known. But the DHHS isn't to do it, then who would? There's no other executive department that makes sense, excerpt perhaps DoD, but vaccine safety isn't even close to being one of their core missions. I agree with Laura Hayes that taking oversight out of DHHS will not solve the problem. There's already supposed to be a separation between the agency that licenses vaccines and the agency that recommends & monitors them. Whether vaccine mandates are eliminated or not, vaccines are going to be around for a while. Instead of removing oversight from DHHS, they need to be held accountable by Congress. Either the Oversight & Government Reform Committee should oversee them, or a new subcommittee should be formed. If anyone has any different ideas about how oversight should be performed, I'd love to hear them.

Is there a way to subpoena Thompson? And get this information out into more media? We need to bring down this industry and it is not going to happen from within. We the people must do it!
